DILWORTH, Minn. (KFGO-AM) - Police are investigating a rash of thefts at an assisted living center in Dilworth. The investigation began during the summer at "Serenity Assisted Living."
Court documents say several residents reported missing wallets, cash, gift cards and personal items.
Elaine Anderson, who owns the facility with her husband Tim, says the suspect is a former employee. Anderson says the suspect was caught after police set up a sting in which traceable gift cards were left out for the taking.
Court documents say many of the theft victims are elderly and suffer from memory loss.
A police report is being sent to the county attorney's office for possible charges.
