BISMARCK, N.D. (AP) -- The City Council in Leith has approved an ordinance that will require a white supremacist living in the southwestern North Dakota town to install running water and sewer service in his home.
City Attorney Thomas Kelsch says that sometime this week Craig Cobb will be given a notice to comply within 30 days.
Cobb says he'll do it, but he won't be deterred. He still wants to encourage others with similar views to move to Leith to help him establish an Aryan enclave.
Cobb says the town's leaders are illegally targeting him, and he's pursuing a civil rights complaint with the state. Kelsch says the council is looking out for the safety of all of the town's residents and is on solid legal ground.
