Head coach of North Dakota State University recaps the Bison's 48-14 victory over Coastal Carolina in the NCAA Division I Football Championship Quarterfinal round.

If North Dakota State had any distractions coming into today's FCS Quarterfinal football game, they certainly didn't show it.

Coastal Carolina, the third best scoring offense in the nation, didn't have much firepower against NDSU's top ranked defense. The Bison beat the Chanticleers 48-14.

It was less than a week ago that NDSU Head Coach Craig Bohl announced he had accepted the head coaching job at Wyoming. Bohl was allowed by the Cowboys to continue to coach in Fargo during the Bison playoff run. Many questioned if the coach's decision might cause some distractions.

That question has been answered: No.

Coastal Carolina, who averaged nearly 43 points per game coming in, struggled to not only get points, but gained just 276 yards on offense, 210 below their average.

North Dakota State on the other hand, couldn't do much wrong offensively.

Leading 3-0 in the first quarter, Bison Senior Sam Ojuri broke loose and ran 73 yards untouched giving NDSU a 10-0 lead. It was one of two touchdowns on the day for Ojuri, who ran for 162 yards on 20 carries.

Brock Jensen threw three touchdowns, including a 31 yard pass to Zach Vraa in the corner of the end zone. Jensen also ran for a touchdown.

The Bison finished with 621 total yards of offense.

Christian Dudzik intercepted two Coastal Carolina passes.

The Bison will host the winner of New Hampshire and Southeastern La. Friday night in the Fargodome.. The game can be heard on 790-KFGO.
