Daytona Beach, Fla (AP)--Oxbow, ND native and former NDSU standout Amy Anderson shot a 4-under par 68 in the opening round of the final LPGA Qaulifying School. Anderson is in a tie for 9th place heading into the second round. The top 20 finishers earn a category 12 status and a spot on the major tour. Jaye Marie Green fired a 10-under-par 62 on the Jones Course to break the course record and take the first-round lead. The 19-year-old takes a four-shot lead over LPGA Tour veterans Tiffany Joh and Seon Hwa Lee heading into the second round of the 90-hole event. Anderson is one of the most decorated collegiate women's golfers out of North Dakota State winning a record 20 collegiate titles.
