FARGO, N.D. (KFGO) – Fire damaged a home at 6086 24th Street South in Fargo and sent one person to the hospital with injuries that were not life-threatening. Neighbors reported smoke coming from the home around 8:30 p.m. Sunday.
The first crews on scene saw smoke coming from the backside of the home. The resident was outside and indicated nobody else was in the house. The initial crew went inside with a hose line and discovered a fire burning in the kitchen. They were able to get a quick knock-down and keep the fire contained to the kitchen area.
Crews searched the home and no other residents or pets were found. There was heavy fire damage to the kitchen and smoke damage throughout the home. The cause of the fire is unknown but it started in the kitchen area.
