Whole grains...it turns out they're not all that good for you

Seems like everyone decided eating "white" breads and starches was bad news for us and that switching to whole-grain was a much healthier option.

It turns out that whole-grains might lack some heart-healthy fiber and could lead to cardiovascular risks.

For our grocery stores to call an item "whole grain" it doesn't actually have to be a complete whole grain - meaning it's processed with other products. When this happens we can miss out on key healthy ingredients, like fiber.

So… whether your grains are whole or white, you still have to limit how much you're eating.
