Kenny Rogers to Be Honored for Lifetime Achievement at CMA Awards

by Paul Heling

Kenny Rogers will be honored during an extended segment on the CMA Awards on November 6th.  The honor has a title.  It's the Willie Nelson Lifetime Achievement Award.   Oh, and he's newly inducted into the Country Music Hall of Fame.  It's a pretty good time to be Kenny.  Jennifer Nettles, Rascal Flatts, and Darius Rucker will perform during the tribute segment.

  • Five time CMA Award winner
  • 23 CMA nominations
  • Country Music Hall of Fame member
  • Five decade long career
  • 120 million albums sold worldwide
  • 24 number one songs
  • 12 number one albums
  • New York Times bestselling author
  • Recently put out his 35th studio album (which became his 22nd top 10 Country album)
  • Probably once had a Kenny Rogers' Roasters "all the chicken you can eat for life" card
  • Quite possibly the inspiration for the "most interesting man in the world" guy since he sort of looks like Kenny
