GRAND FORKS, N.D. (KFGO) – A 22-year-old Grand Forks man fled police Saturday just before midnight after they responded to a domestic violence complaint.
Drew Brooks ran from an officer attempting to make a traffic stop and a pursuit ensued. During the chase, Brooks sideswiped a parked car, hit a street sign, and struck a traffic signal.
He then got into I29 headed south when the officer used a PIT maneuver to bring the car to a stop near the Alerus Center.
Brooks has been charged with Domestic Violence, Fleeing, DUI, Reckless Driving, and Leaving the Scene of an Accident. He was also sighted for Open Container and No Insurance.
No one was injured during the incident.
